I need to get into my locker to get some supplies for the hurricane yet the gate is shut off 2 days before the hurricane . Absolutely ridiculous, this place is terrible I had my trailer broken into last year and a bunch of stuff stolen they told me that the cameras were not working and would not cooperate with police.

UPDATE 9/13/24: After I moved my stuff into my unit I didn't really have a problem. I access my storage when I need it even though their app is SUPER glitchy (always says I'm not close enough to the gate when I'm an inch away from it). I called a few weeks back to see if I could move into a bigger space and nobody ever responded. Yesterday I called about my bill and have yet to receive a response. The customer support here is severely lacking once you're a paying customer. Brought the review down to 1 star from a 3 star to reflect that.
One of the issues I had was with Victoria. Nice lady but before I moved in I asked to bump my move-in date up. She said she had it taken care of. I called the next day to be sure and Autumn told me that no such update had been made, so I had HER take care of that. Call it laziness, incompetence, carelessness - whatever it is, I seem to run into problems here far too often.
UPDATE: 8/7/24: Before I left my review, I left a voicemail for the local office. Jordan returned my call and I filled him in on what I had experienced. He rectified the situation and is working with me on ensuring that my reservation is maintained. Will bump the review up to 5 stars once I move into the space and everything goes smoothly!
8/6/24: Securing a reservation was fairly easy, but changing it was a nightmare and getting anyone to answer the phone at the local office is near impossible. When I called in to change my reservation, I was transferred to California but the rep over there had no idea how to answer my questions so she transferred me to Texas - SALES, not reservations, so they transferred me back to California, who told me that changes couldn't be made. I went to my email to check on the reservation and it was cancelled! I never requested that or cancelled my reservation. I called the office again and was transferred (SURPRISE!) to sales, who said that the office team's hours today (8/6/24) were 9-1 and that they are "busy with other locations." The guy I was talking to couldn't tell me why the reservation was cancelled but tried to get me to make another one. When I asked him why it would have been cancelled to begin with, he said if someone pays for the space I reserved it'll give the space to them but NOT notify me about it. I asked him why would I make another reservation that I could lose and there was nothing but silence. How this place has 4.8 stars is astounding.
I could not get access through the gate using my app or the codes I was texted. They just did not work at all. I’ve been renting from this place for over three years and this is my 6th visit. I usually have problems trying to get access but this time nothing worked. The hours are daily 6-9 and I’m here at 6PM. I live quite far from here and came out of my way after work through traffic just to not be able to access my unit. No after hours number or anything. I’ll be moving out as soon as possible. Absolutely absurd.
My experience with Public Storage was amazing. Victoria customer service was great made this transition feel very at ease. If I could give her an additional 5 Stars I would. The atmosphere felt like home and my belongings was in Good hands.

I came in to transfer to a larger unit but the online system was down. Megan did everything she could to get me set up and submitted an IT ticket to help resolve my online issue. She was persistent for almost an hour and offered me several options to complete my transaction. True to form, the staff here is always great!!

The facts that the prices can change drastically month to month makes it hard to budget for. Also the fact that it can inces 30 or more dollers one month to another is crazy.
I have stored at this and other Public Storage facilities in different states as the needs arose over the decades. The current manager, Autumn is by far the most knowledgeable and competent I have ever worked with. She is clearly passionate about her work and it shows in her higher level of customer service. Autumn goes out of her way to be helpful. I highly recommend doing business with Autumn at the 6040 Lakehurst facility in Orlando.

I’ve been rent a space for a couple months now and had no issues up until now. I went to the storage unit a little close to access closing time and was there 3 minutes past access hours due to the app and code not working to open the gate so I could leave. I get a text and email after that letting me know the rules. No big deal but like come on it was 3 minutes. After that I decided to leave this storage unit. I gave a 2 weeks notice for my move out date to the last day of the month and had everything cleared out on that day. I left it the same way I received it, no trash or new damage. Then a day later I see that they are trying to say I moved out on the first of the month so I need to pay $120. They lied but I disputed it. I was told I’d get an email or call with an update and received nothing. So I checked my account and see nothing is due anymore. So be careful, they may try to scam you out of your money too. On top of that they were just about to start charging me $20 more monthly when already charging me too much for a non ac 5x10 unit. They wanted $150 monthly. Just rent at other places, there are so many nice and new storage units with ac units for way cheaper!

I am super pleased with the service that the district manager Yahaira always offers to everyone, I needed a lock cut, she was in the area and was able to meet me within an hour which allowed me to access my unit and get what I needed to work today. I have been storing here at public storage for many years and she is always available to her customers. The manager Autumn is amazing too and this location is always clean as it is safe. I would recommend Public storage to anyone wanting exceptional service.

The good thing is the storage unit is clean, safe, and well-maintained. The bad news is this company is extremely greedy and raises rent constantly. I’ve only been renting here three years and the first year they raised the rent 25%, the second year they raised at 33%, and this year they’re raising it another 40%! I’ve tried talking to them about it, because I’ve been a great customer, never missed a payment, always kept my unit clean. But they don’t care about any of that their customer satisfaction policy has no teeth, and all they want is money. So I found another unit a mile away at a different company for less than I have been paying here and they even gave me a free month on top of that! I’m moving out immediately and do not recommend this place to anyone else.

The process to secure the unit was super easy. Unit was located in perfect position. The staff/ customer service made sure we checked in properly. Great location! Pricing is a lot cheaper than most other storage facilities. :)
