I had an excellent experience at Public Storage today, thanks to Shawna. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through the rental process with ease. Shawna took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I found the perfect unit for my needs. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism made the entire experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Shawna and this facility to anyone looking for storage solutions!
I hate writing this review because I had such a great experience at first. I signed up for a promotional rate of $67 per month. After 4 months of timely payments and barely utilizing my space, I got a notice saying my monthly rate was increasing almost $30 per month. To make matters worse, I was disputing the charge for November out of principle (given it is a clear bait and switch tactic), I got a notice that a $20 late fee was added to my account literally two days after both the federal and state government announced emergency declarations for Hurricane Milton. It seems very predatory to offer a discounted rate, then 4 months in switch it on people after they have their belongings moved in and then adding a late fee during a Category 5 hurricane when everyone is focused on life-saving preparation measures. Very upsetting behavior from Public Storage and will be taking my business elsewhere!

Please save yourself and stay far away from this place!! They have shady business practices and it’s so hard to get a hold of someone. They tell you to use their virtual assistant which is a joke because it’s only programmed to answer certain questions. If you want a good storage company try Michigan mini storage. I was there for years with no problem and I’ve only been with public storage for 4 months and already having problems. The only reason I switched was cause it was cheaper but that was even a joke cause they’ve already gone up in price and exceeded what I was paying before, and I’m sure they will just keep raising their prices every few months. I am cutting my losses and paying the outrageous price they say I own and getting out of here quick!! You live and learn!!

I recommend this storage place over any other in the area , me and my husband visited a few near by but this one took the cake , it was very organized and the units were impeccable, also I’d like to recommend working with Melissa she was absolutely amazing with helping us get the ideal unit for our stuff .

After going there 3 times there was someone there(that was after I pushed the office button and sat outside for about 10 minutes). He wasn't very helpful and I didn't rent from there.
I had a last minute reservation booked online. Everything was quick and easy. I had a slight issue with my lock, but Shawn returned my calls promptly and took care of my situation quickly

Let me start by saying the customer service was outstanding, and if I had to rate that alone, it would be a 5 Star… very helpful and very pleasant.
I like the idea of doing everything online, signing a contract, paying, downloading an app, and getting access to my unit without speaking to anyone… Great idea.
I signed the contract and paid for a 10 x 20 storage unit so I could store my vehicle. BUT, The actual storage space was only 9‘7“ by 18‘6“. My vehicle did fit with 6 inches to spare front and back. They had another unit available at the time, if I wanted to switch.

I do not recommend using Public Storage. I had a horrible experience with customer service and given misinformation. You will spend more than what it’s worth for a storage space. Do yourself a favor and use another storage company.
I had an absolute garbage experience with the rental and trying to obtain a refund. Each time I’d call I would get a different answer. They are not helpful and unprofessional. They only care about taking your money.

Liz and Kim have been so kind! I've been with Public Storage for about a year now. I had lost my key and wanted to transition to a larger unit, and it went so seamlessly. They also offer large dolleys free to use as you move your things! Very much recommend this location and company ☺️

First it's overpriced, I've had my unit since 2018. They unilaterally changed my due date to the first of the month. They have increased prices several times. New management removed my Account from from Auto-pay and send me email reminders. I don't have time for this.

Never using this company again. No one is willing to lift a finger to help you. I left an extremely important medical device in my storage unit during the craziness of a move and the way the phone support spoke to me (in addition to not caring in the slightest) when asking how to get in after hours was so insulting I’ll never forget it.
Well managed facility with knowledgeable and helpful staff. (George) is THE man to assist in your storage needs!!

Storage space is fine, location is convenient, and staff were pleasant for the initial walk around and setting up the account. So why 3 stars? The random price hikes that have now lead to the unit being double the price it was a year ago. I could deal with price hikes if they were justified, but instead the company acts like a black box that just spits out bills and works in mysterious ways. If you can deal with a lack of transparency from the company itself, it makes for a fine storage solution. Also, expect to pay double within a years time, and insurance is not included in the quoted price so keep an eye out for that.

Kim is what makes this Public Storage the BEST!!!
My girlfriend has a Unit here and every time we come to our storage unit, Kim is always welcoming with a smile. She keeps the property immaculate! He is always making sure everything is working well with our unit. There was one instance where there was another woman there working with Kim, I think she might have been her boss, who was not as pleasant as Kim was.
But Kim ALWAYS has been so kind!
There was also another young man we have seen there a few times, his name is Jeremy, and he is amazing as well. The free time we have seen him there, he has been EXTREMELY kind and helpful also!
Between the two of them they are very happy with Public Storage at Michigan Street and Bumby!
