The elevator has been down for weeks, sometimes the doors in the stairwell get knocked closed and then you're just screwed. Also no shot this is temperature controlled it's hot and humid. Bad.

This place is an absolute disaster, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.
I rent a unit on the 4th floor. While I’m out of town on business, we hired movers to clear out the unit to move into our new house. I've spent almost $2k here for the last year.
My wife just called in a panic to inform me that the elevator is out of service. No notice. Nothing. We’ve already hired the movers, who are now stuck hauling all of our heavy furniture down four flights of stairs at $150 an hour. This has now cost us an extra $450 today.
Here’s the kicker: from other reviews, it’s clear this elevator has been out for OVER A WEEK. And yet, not a single notification? Are you kidding me? Send an email!
How do you run a business like this? It’s beyond incompetent—it’s NEGLIGENT! You’ve cost me hundreds of dollars, hours of wasted time, and unbelievable stress for my wife.
This isn’t just bad service—it’s a complete and utter failure. Your refusal to provide basic communication or functional access borders on FRAUDULENT. Is this even legal? Because it sure doesn’t feel like it—guess I’ll need to look into that.
I EXPECT COMPENSATION IMMEDIATELY. You owe me money! You owe my wife for her time and stress.
Their elevators have been down for over a week and we just found that out when we got our movers and U-Haul to move out. Wasted time and money because this terrible company chose not to inform us when the elevators were down. They also said that they cannot contact everyone directly about the elevators, but yet they can send promo texts to our phone. The guy who I was referred to from the office staff was not very helpful and was borderline rude. If I could give negative stars, I would. If you want to waste your time and money, deal with inconvenience and a company that doesn’t care about their customers, then I suggest that you go with public storage because that is exactly what you will get.
I would give 0 if I could. The worst storage location. If you’re looking to rent a storage space, DON’T GO THERE.
I would like to speak with the owner before I write my review. I'm very disappointed with the lack empathy and the rudeness of some of the staff. It's almost like since I wrote my last review, everyone has done a complete 180.

At the beginning of the year the rates increased by 33%. Today (7/3/24) the sliding doors are jammed. Will there be access after office hours. Who knows? Who cares? Find storage elsewhere.
Update 7/10/24 Still no access after 6AM. Public Storage you're NOT holding up your end of the contractual agreement. It appears your property manager isn't concerned about this obvious problem. In March a security guard attempted to prevent access after normal hours. He was told to kick rocks. The management said they would call the DM, and yet still no word. Precisely what are we (customers) paying for?!? We are being penalized for your broken doors. Which is your problem, now made ours. Stop taking advantage of the customers or compensate our accounts for this massive inconvenience.
UPDATE SEPT 3 2024
The sliding doors are still broken. It's been two months. What exactly is going on PS? Today for the second time some childish employee (probably Alex) covered my lock with stickers... again. Precisely what message you're trying to send I cannot say. Unless it's an attempt to confirm your status as a nitwit His non commitment to customer service is astounding. I hope you enjoy hearing from your district manager. You have zero empathy for the people who are forced to use the side door. Public Storage, this a very bad look for your company. Please find better representatives.
Update September 24 2024
The sliding doors were finally fixed. I believe they made it a whole week. They're once again busted. This isn't a secure facility. And the property manager (Alex) is once again committed to lackluster customer service. I'll be calling the 800 number again. Go elsewhere for your storage needs.

Our only concern is that only one elevator was working when we moved in today and that the slidding doors are still broken for a while as other reviews noted. I sure hope these get fixed soon.

If you use this storage company, be sure to have an employee check your rental with you there. I checked with two employees on May 29th about vacating my rental. They said things were all fine and well. Then, I was charged for June rent. They never vacated my unit in their system, even though I checked with multiple employees. Now I’m awaiting my reimbursement. It has taken 3 weeks to get approved for a reimbursement, and now I’m waiting 8 weeks to receive it.
I had great experience and Dell was great. Great customer service and wonderful person.So the post below about dell still stands ... but as of today I would not recommend anyone to use public storage especially the location at land oh lakes especially dealing with a so call manger Alex that has no idea heas he is doing I would like someone to contact me back who is aboove him..This is way im given them 1.

Insane increases no annual contracts, they can charge whatever whenever. No on site area to offer to give away any items that would be good for donation. No trash area to put any unwanted items. Use U-Haul, much better rates and they have a onsite donation area.
On site customer service is very good. Del helped me get the best deal when I recently downsized to a smaller unit. I would give onsite service 5 stars, and I recommend working with the staff at the location over the central corporate customer service call center. Rent increases at this property have been aggressive over the years. If you are a long term customer, I recommend revaluating every year or so to find the best deal. The 4 star rating reflects this effective punishment for loyalty whereby you must be your own active advocate to keep rents reasonable.
I came through to look at unit sizes, and Frances was beyond helpful. Even though I elected not to use your facility for storage, I would still recommend this location. I appreciated her great customer service, and that she remained pleasant after my decision of not to use your location. I was also impressed with the cleanliness.

Very unprofessional. Corporate admitted to removing negative reviews. I guess that's why if you look on Yelp they only have a 2.8 rating. Many customers have complained about AC for climate control being broken and their things getting ruined. I went with extra space. They are much friendlier and are actually better priced.
These people are crooks. My friend had made a reservation for storage but because of a stroke she did it at the wrong business. They called multiple times a day and I explained the situation to them and that I needed the reservation cancelled. Well they proceeded to charge her card anyway. So I went in to ask for a refund. The lady at the counter was nice however the corporate or at least that’s who she claimed to be lady on speaker phone decided she was going to “handle” me and explain how I was lying, I never cancelled and when I tried to speak she started yelling over me telling me if I didn’t be quiet I would get nothing. She wanted me to sign paper work saying I was vacating a space I never took possession of. She then stated if I didn’t sign she would keep charging the card on file. I told her I would be outlining my experience on their review and she stated I don’t care cause I just have those removed. Very unprofessional business.

Update after several years of being a customer. Pretty nice facility, but the management is completely unscrupulous, raising prices whenever they see fit. There is no consideration given to your term as a customer, prices go up, they go up for everyone. And they go up OFTEN! In 3 years our costs have almost doubled.
AVOID THIS FACILTY. It's convenient, but they will gouge you.

Rented a unit a few days ago. Staff was/is very helpful. Since I have begun to move my stuff in, there aren't any carts available. For the last two days, I've had to wait 20ish min to get a cart. Due to multiple families waiting, you can only use one cart too.

The place is nice but DON'T use them. We started at $39.87 a month and in 5 months they raised it to $51.12 and at the one year mark they raised it to $67.09. A 50% increase in a year.
From $39.87 to $67.09. They did this to a friend also. I didn't know at the time I rented the unit. They are counting on you being too lazy to move your stuff.

Not only is it affordable but Miss Theresa was the best part of the experience. She was super friendly, thorough and helpful. We left there feeling better about our move than before we came in. Five stars!!
