The power was out after hurricane Milton and their gates would not operate. They have no way to open them…. That is a huge strike. We are in Fort Myers Beach and need our power equipment we moved there in the days before the hurricane. Hurricane Wednesday and Thursday no power, so OK, everyone doing clean up but we will wait. No access Friday when we went there in the morning because the power was intermittent and wouldn’t let anyone in because they could get trapped. THE OWNER WILL NOT HAVE IT MANNED TO ALLOW ACCESS WITH GATES OPEN! so here we are, two days of no clean up because this is a very risky and inadequate storage facility. Once we can get everything out of our storage garage, we will move it to a reliable self storage.

Good location and decent security. This location (Kelly Road, Fort Myers) is not staffed. You deal with a kiosk and it works fine. Price is great. I'm sure it will creep up and when it does I'll consider moving as I did with the place before this one. No major complaints.

I had a fair number of things that I needed to store. The thing that has resulted in a three-star rating is the fact that there is no body on site. I made an appointment on the phone to meet somebody in order to look at the units. That person was several minutes late. She was light enough that I made a call to the 800 number and they know even less than Sergeant Schultz. The woman when she arrived was very pleasant and very helpful. She is also responsible for managing another unit which seems like a reasonable explanation for her being several minutes late. The unit is very nice and at this point I have no evidence of the climate control not being functional. I suspect, given time, that I will get over my initial irritation and be happy to give this place a five-star rating.

Stephanie most certainly is 110% the most professional manager in the entire self storage industry. EVER. After having an issue with the original size of my unit upon moving in she was more then helpful & accommodating me to get into a bigger unit—with no extra fee. I only have to pay the difference of the upgraded size of the new unit. Which is completely reasonable. Stephanie is kind, thoughtful and has a fantastic personality. She is an invaluable asset to the company and I could not recommend her enough. Guard her with your life! Thank you so much!
We drove out to add some things to our storage unit yesterday afternoon (Sunday), only to find the lock had been changed. When asked for the reason, nobody could explain why this was done. Was then told I would have to wait until Tuesday for someone to be available who would be able to help.
Storage buildings feel like they have NO AIR CONDITIONING, even in the climate controlled units which are supposed to have air conditioning...
Used for over 2 years. Convenient to our home #1 - with great service.

Christopher was a great help today with providing necessary information with a storage unit for my belongings for my wife and I having a big move coming up transitioning From wyoming to Florida. Stopped in on my way to the airport due to looking for homes in the area. He was a professional and courteous employee for public storage and would definitely Consider highly to rent from this specific facility due to Manager providing such exceptional professionalism and mannerisms.
