This is my second time around renting storage at this location. Claudia is the reason why I came back, she is great. Always so helpful and caring. Recently I had called the corporate call center asking about late fees, they gave me the wrong information and if it wasn't for Claudia catching it, I would of had a problem.. Claudia has been fantastic. She was very sweet, communicative, and even helpful with moving stuff in/out of my storage. Surpassed any expectations I could've had. The building, too, was very clean and well kept. If you come here, I really hope you get to meet Claudia. And all-in-all, it was exceptional storage (we had climate controlled storage).
If you don't want to read a lengthy reason as to why it isn't 5 stars, then probably stop here unless you intend on reading the full review
The reason I am not giving this place a 5 star is not because of Claudia, but because of the pricing behavior of the storage unit (so, in other words, corporate). It started at the price listed on the site, then eventually climbed about ~17%. So, something like 240 to 280. Eventually, it climbed to around 320, and that is when I dropped everything and flew to Florida (I moved) to get my stuff. It was a tough decision at the time since I wasn't quite ready yet, just having moved into a new place (for a second time after leaving FL) and spent a lot of money, but for a 25 year old, thats a car payment fellas! Now obviously it's their storage unit, they can do what they want with pricing, but here's where I was disappointed - it was still listed online for a little over 200, close to the price we originally paid. I'm not sure the entire logic behind it- maybe there were just THAT many discounts applied for the first few years to our unit, plus everyone knows how much real estate has gone up in this area compared to even 4 years ago 🙄 but I would think it would be good practice to reward long term leasees, not short term ones.
Anyway, I am not a storage expert. I'm just slightly sad it ended that way after just a month shy of 4 years renting here. I will say that they have reached out to try to remedy things before I officially moved my stuff with discounts and money back, which I do really appreciate.
So all things considered, 5/5 customer service, 4/5 overall experience.

I’ve rented from this public storage for several years. We recently sold our home and renter 2 additional units for all our things pending our closing on our new home.
Our closing was unexpectedly pushed back a few weeks causing us to reschedule the movers and needing a few extra days past the end of the month beyond our notice of vacating our storage units.
Thankfully Claudia and her boss accommodated us and allow the extra days needed until the movers were available at no additional charge. As we know the stress of moving can be overwhelming. This kind gesture was a load off our shoulders during a stressful moving experience. The expenses related to moving into our new home were already mounting.
I want to thank Claudia and Public Storage for there help and understanding.

I had an excellent experience with Kiya at Public Storage, 150 Powerline Rd, Deerfield Beach.
Kiya was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, fast, smiles all the time and eagerly went above and beyond her responsibilities to provide excellent proactive service.
I have great respect for Kiya for all of the above plus I was especially impressed because she was not only aware of everything, when necessary, she was on top of a problem before I had to ask.
I had an issue with the PS app and one of the elevators. Door would close but when I selected floor 2, nothing happened. After my second try, Kiya was standing at the elevator door when it opened, explained the situation and up I went.
I am self-employed so I have a great appreciation for hard working, dedicated, employees who willingly go beyond their job description not because they have to, because they want to and it's the right thing to do.
Kiya is a valuable employee and these days it's nearly impossible to find people like Kiya.
Public Storage in Deerfield is very lucky to have her.
Oh, and for the record, Kiya also upsold me by at least two storage levels.

I have been using this Public Storage facility for about 5 years and have never been late with one payment. They gave me a discount due to my payment history about a year ago and it expired and got an increase. I rarely go but had to go to grab something and I asked them if they are able to offer me another discount again because of my payment history and time I have been renting. A big shout out to Deora and Claudia. My discount was approved and I cannot thank them enough for putting in the request. I have an indoor air conditioned 10x10 unit so every little bit helps. This place is clean as a whistle and the people who work there are wonderful. Great customer service. Thank you thank you!
