Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 20865 US Hwy 19 North, Clearwater, FL

I recently rented a unit at Public Storage, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and secure. Emily was incredibly helpful, walking me through the rental process and making sure I understood everything clearly. They offered a variety of unit sizes, so I was able to find the perfect space for my needs. I also love the added security features and gated access. Highly recommend Public Storage if you're looking for a reliable and hassle-free storage solution!

The price has tripled since I moved in. There was a flood in 2020... I haven't been able to get into my room in 2.5 years, but I still have to pay $500 a month against the chance I might one day figure out how to get the door open. Too bad it isn't possible to give no stars at all. Edit: I added a couple of stars, making the review neutral for the time being. I called the office, talked to the current manager, who couldn't understand why her predecessor hadn't told me how to schedule a free visit from their roving maintenance guy to force our way past the jammed door. I'll call next week and see if they're as good as she thinks they are. 7-11-23 Another edit: I'm back in the room; it only took 4.5 months after I got hold of the district manager. All the stuff near the door was ruined by water damage and the resulting black mold. I asked for some sort of rent relief while I dig thru the mess; they said the best they could do is one month's free rent... during the time I was locked out, I paid over $10,000 for a room I didn't have access to. And the rent just went up ANOTHER $95 a month. It's gonna take me months to dig thru all the moldy mess, taking pictures of every damaged item, against a possible insurance claim. The insurance has a damage limit of $5000; I have nearly $5000 worth of guitar amps near the back, which will take a while for me to get to so I can assess any damage in that area. Their mess, but my loss and responsibility. I can't afford a lawyer, so they have me over a barrel. There are so many storage companies out there... pick any of the others, and steer clear of Public Storage. Another edit... They gave me a six month delay on the last rent increase, which almost exactly equals one month free rent. Found out new customers are paying less than half what I am for the same size room; Jasmine asked for a tent reduction for me, but the new district manager refused. Jasmine suggested I move to another room on the same complex to get the new customer rate... I went her one better and had a friend rent a room across the driveway to get a month free in addition to the new lower rate. I dropped one room size to stay close to the old location... Saved $400 a month. Wish I'd thought of this last February. roughly $8000 ago... could have saved $6400. The company is awful, totally lacking in ethics. Facility Manager Jasmine is way too good for these crooks. My contract with them guaranteed me access to my stuff , which they denied me for three whole years... and most of the rent increases took place while I was locked out! They could tell by looking at me I can't afford an attorney, so they got away with it. On the positive side, if your need is short term, and you know for an absolute fact you'll be gone before they have a chance to raise the rent, I checked around, and they're the cheapest per square foot I found.

Be aware that their rates are not locked in and fluctuates. My rate went up $60 after a few months of renting.

I told them I was moving out and they drafted my account the same day. I requested a refund and they said our policy is we don't give refunds you can stay til the end of the month I was moving out of state I didn't want to come back in 30 days.

Jasmine goes above and beyond and is a credit to the organization. Rex was very helpful and provides excellent customer service. Stan is knowledgeable and proactive. He gave us great customer service and helped us find the exact right unit for our cross-country move. I strongly recommend this facility and their representative, Stan - he's the greatest!

Why do they sell you a price and a few months later they raised it? In a little over a year I have had my storage go up two separate occasions by $60-80 each time. They realize you have lots of stuff and know it will be hard for you to move so they just start raising rent... its a shady way of doing business and will be the last time I use Public Storage for any future needs. The price should be locked in for a year at least.

Jen and Dan were awesome. Swapped units made it easy. They both were friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely stop in and say hi when I’m at my storage. I recommend this location for great service!!!!

I used this property for 23 months and I just moved my belongings out. The property manager Diana was great, she is an excellent property manager she cares about her property and customers. So kudos to Diana for doing an excellent job.

Fantastic company! Phenomenal customer service that I received from Jasmine. She is extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile as she patiently walked me through all the questions I had for her. We are looking to relocate from out of state and had tons of questions. She was so kind and personable. I would recommend this location merely based on the great customer service she provided.

We rented a unit and didnt attempt to move in for around 3 weeks. Once we were ready to move, i rented the truck and hired two movers. We loaded everything up into the truck and once we arrived, found that management had PUT A LOCK ON MY DOOR!!! There was no one there to help. I had to pay an additional day for the truck and for the two movers! A phone call would have been nice to let me know they did this ahead of time. I called "customer service" while there and she stated that they "attempted to call on many occasions"! I run a business from the number i gave and its 24X7X365. Unbelievable. I went elsewhere. I will never rent here again.

Hard to find and the units are not air conditioned very well. I wound up with an interior unit and there was no overhead light. Had to use my phone for light. Did everything online. My lease started 6/5 but didn't receive access code until day after.

This facility is always so clean plus the people who work here are very helpful. So easy to access from US 19. Would recommend this place to everyone.

FYI you sign their lease agreement. I did not realize how much they could increase your rate. Be aware they increased my rent $100 a month. So from $250 to $350.. Then for some reason my phone calls go to voicemail and they don't return your message, after multiple calls. They will give you 1 month before they change your rate. And offered absolutely NO assistances..

Just came in to complete my reservation and Stan was extremely friendly and helpful! Linda and Stan had both called me prior to my move in date to confirm the size of the unit and move in date which made me feel comfortable. My reservation was bumped because they had no 10x20 units left and I was able to get a bigger unit for the same price. I highly recommend this location for the price and space, and friendliness of staff.
