I love this storage site mostly because of the people that work there like Jordan who go above and beyond the standard service anytime I need help or have questions he gives me all the information I need to make the best decision for myself that doesn’t happen very much anymore. I wanna thank Public Storage on Douglas and Jordan for all they’ve done for us.

Edit: This review is for Simply Storage which used to be at this location before it became Public Storage. I absolutely love this location. I usually don’t write reviews but the people here were so nice, helpful, informative and friendly that I actually couldn’t help myself lol. Gilbert and Edith were amazing, after searching multiple storage places and even finding some that were cheaper I decided to go with simply storage because of them. After a few days I realized I needed a bigger storage unit and they made the transfer process easy as pie. They go above and beyond for their customers. I can’t speak highly enough of the people that work there and that just comes to show how important customer service really is to a business. The units themselves are nice as well. I highly recommend this place!

The facility as a whole is well kept! I love the fact that we can open/close the gate through the app. Although my unit is on the second floor, I had no problem bringing up my things for storage. Public Storage keeps rolling carts by the elevator!

Kit was absolutely amazing!! My boyfriend didn’t have everything he needed to rent a unit so she kindly allowed him to keep the reservation until I made it to the storage unit with all of the necessary documents. Once I got to the location she was extremely helpful and I love the way she explains everything simple and sweet! If you haven’t figured it out yet you have the best employee working at the front desk. I will be recommending this storage unit!!!

*Updated Review* I want to give a big thank you to Rachel the district manager over this location and many others. I think it’s sad that though my request may have been odd to them ,that it took the district manager whom I’m sure is very busy coming out of her way to handle something so small. I truly appreciate her for resolving this issue. She was very professional and understanding of my request. My interaction with her definitely made up for the experience I went through with the other workers. I even brought up another customer of theirs Jackie very sweet lady who’s request from them may be odder than mines as she appears to use the storage in an unorthodox manner . So it’s a little weird to me that my request not to break my lock is odd when they have other customers utilizing the space differently . But I can see they work with her .im sad it had to come to all of this for such a simple request . I’m happy that we came to a resolve . Rachel very quickly took my key removed my lock and gave it back to me in one piece and not broken . In which their padlock is now on the storage and I will happily pay with the late fee before the end of month. Thank you Rachel !! ** ORIGINAL COMPLAINT** I am really tired of big time companies treating us like we are nothing . I have to make my payments in a way that works with my income and when I get my checks I don’t mind paying the late fee bc of this. However, I don’t want my lock broken bc of this. I called and asked kindly not to break my lock stating I would come and give the key for them to remove and place their lock . The manager Dann stated that “people like me” who don’t pay on time have to “suffer the consequences “??? Like who do you think you are ? The sheriff and I’m some criminal ? ? Whether I’m late or not my money helps to keep food and money and employment in your life. Some of us have to make our payments in a way that works for us and I don’t deserve this treatment, I was told by a very rude employee named Kitt that they would cut my locks on the 20th. I’ll be paying on the 22nd when I get my check. I was told that “our $13 an hour employees have to break your lock as consequence for late payment “ ?! Maybe this is why your customer service is so poor ! This is Terrible service !!!!! I don’t understand why you simply can’t allow me to come for you all to safely remove my lock without breaking it and put your lock on it until I pay! I’m not asking for a discount , to waive the late fee . It’s like you find satisfaction in administering the little bit of power you have in the world by being completely barbaric and unnecessary in your actions and the way you speak to and handle the people who PAY YOU FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Not for nothing I’ve paid you guys every single cent since February whether I’m late or not ! In this economy if I have to choose between paying my mortgage/rent , my car note etc to continue to work myself over storage I will. And I shouldn’t be subjected to such terrible customer service and stipulations when I’m calling and communicating as best as I can about this. This is terrible and i will take this all the way up and continue to call every day until I’m Treated as a valuable customer bc whether I’m late or not I’m still paying you. And you don’t refer to your customers like “PEOPLE LIKE YOU” !!! Terrible and I’m disgusted ! Fire or re train Dann and Kitt . Hire people who know customer service and valuable customers. Wouldn’t you rather work with someone paying instead of having to break equipment and sale someone’s property to get payment when the person is willing paying but on the time that works for them and STILL within your 30 day period ?! Got a Memorial Day discount which is the only reason that I chose them but upon arrival I realized the facilities are very nice and my second floor unit is right near the elevator! I have called for information a couple times and every time I have gotten to speak to an actual polite and helpful human. Love that as well!

Kit gave amazing service at the front desk helping me switch to a different unit - technology was not working with us, but she worked extra hard to figure it out. Great location, retrofitted shopping strip with new storage units behind, but it works. Good pricing too.

I've been renting here for a long time now I've been with them since they were simply storage now there public storage I guess they are not to bad on their pricing but could be a little lower than what I pay I think

I can’t say enough about the expandable box. I was so worried about my standup mirror in my bedroom and my huge television screen. I purchase two and they fit like a glove even with the bubble wrap. It surprises even my professional movers. God sent!!!!

I have been standing in the cold weather for over 45 minutes trying to find someone that can help me. There is no one inside and no one answering the phone. The second time in a month I have stood out here for an hour with no answer. During business hours!

Pricing for my unit has gone from $60 to now $127 in 2.5 years. Public Storage just took over the facility and my storage unit rent is going up by more then $30 after it already recently increased. I know prices are going up everywhere but this just seems ridiculous for a storage facility. The property is good & secure but the amount of times that the rent has gone up is just insane for the same storage unit that used to be $60. No upgraded security. Literally $67 more for nothing.

So this company charge you for a special on there website and you pay for a unit. Than you never occupy the unit or use code for unit and your bank account is charged more than what the website says 😔.So now they giving me the run around about refunding my money on something I'm not using.A $165 dollars that they are trying to keep on a unit.I never used there service 😡😡😡😡..I will never recommend this company to no one if taking your money is what they do. One person from the company say well in order to get your money back talk to a manager and than talk to a manager than Oh I'm not authorized to make those type of transactions I need my supervisor to look into this. Bad business for me. If a person never showed up to the property to use it. What's so hard about getting there money back. I'm a single parent of four who just lost a job and $165 dollars I can't afford to lose right now. So before you agree to there specials online make sure you screen shot what special and discount you got online. I'll give this location 4.5 only because the automatic gate doesn't work. Once my phone opens the gate as I pull up like I am paying for, I'll give this location a 5. The staff is very good.

I love knowing that my gear is temperature controlled and safe

It's not a bad storage company. The only complaint i have for this company is the price I'm paying for my small storage space to put my stuff in before it was only around $70.00, then sometime last year it went up now I'm paying around $100 for the same small storage space 🤷‍♂️ they used to have a person there as a security but i havent seen them lately 🤷‍♂️ Before entering the gate and exiting, you need a code for that, and they have cameras there, too. Overall, the price is my only grievance about this place.

Edith and Melissa was simply amazing to work with. Melissa initially helped me and my husband with a unit. She was extremely patient with us by holding the unit because we needed to delay the initially payment (move in at a later date). She also followed up and patiently answered any questions that we had. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with our movers (not related to the storage unit) and due to this drama we needed a second unit. Unfortunately we moved in on a Sunday so no one was in the office. Because the movers already tried to steal our items we ended up putting it into an empty unit. We went to the office first thing Monday morning to pay for the second unit. Edith was not only not upset with us for just "taking" a unit, she completely understood our situation and did get best with giving us the cheapest price for the second unit as possible. She was extremely patient with us during this process as we were going back and forth between moving the second unit (since it was bigger than we initially though). We ended up keeping the same unit and she never lost her patience with us as we were going back and forth. That entire moving process was the most stressful situation. But Edith had truly made it soooo much better for us. She was almost therapeutic lol. These are two great employees at this location. Also, the units are super clean and they have complementary carts to help with moving in items. They also have the best prices in town. I highly recommend simply storage for all of your storage needs!!!

This is a great place with very helpful staff. Edith and Melissa were super friendly in person and were on top of communicating with us after we signed up online. It's a very clean, well lit place. You can tell they care about keeping things running right. Also, the carts by the doorways are really helpful. You'll need to buy a cylinder lock from them for your unit, so make sure you come during business hours your first time. Highly recommended.

Great service and affordable rate for a 10x10 space in comparison to nearby locations. It was very easy to set up online and Edith followed up next day to make sure I was all set. Very friendly staff and a convient location too.

Worse upkeep of a storage unit I’ve ever seen.

Our small business rents space from this facility. Edith has gone out of her way to ensure our move-in experience was professional and easy! Daily attention is always available in a friendly and cordial way. It's a genuine pleasure to be a tenant and I would recommend this facility, Edith and Melissa to anyone looking for storage or office/showroom opportunities!

Fast and professional service

Cameras not working and gate broken (wide open) for weeks. Security is NOT a priority here. I had expensive equipment stolen from this storage unit. Management was like "OH WELL."

Please is horrible. The code never works. The staff is not nice. We got up-sold and wasn’t told the honest truth. We ended up paying way more then we thought. Don’t go here go to another location trust me. Be careful about the climate control because it’s not straight forward.

This location is doing business the old school way - friendly service, competitive prices, and they're right in my neighborhood. I chose this location with Edith and Gilbert over other newer facilities because they are right down the street from where I live, they always greet me and take care of me in such a friendly way, and they go out of their way to accommodate whatever I need every time I call or drop by. Every time I come here it's because I am brought here by my friend that rents a storage unit here and I am so tired of coming to my friend's storage unit one star wouldn't recommend going to his storage unit it's boring it's his things and there's always a shuffle scuffle of things to be done. The rating is not because the storage unit is it a storage unit it's because I'm tired of coming to my friend storage unit I think even you would recommend one star very boring.
