Public storage, in the East Hartford location in particular, is amazing. Thank you Joe My family and I have had such a stressful and tiring month of September with moving our things and figuring out what’s the best and most cost efficient place to put it in. When we had a million questions and some tough decisions to make, Joe was patient. He had the answer to every single question and even gave us a call when he found open opportunities for us. He did everything he could to make sure that we closed the deal with confidence in our decision. Everything worked out smoothly. He needs a promotion. Thank you again.

I went to Public Storage in East Hartford to look at units and to figure out what size I needed. Joe assisted me and helped me find the right size. He even helped me determine that the Public Storage in Berlin would be much closer for me and save me some money. Even though I wasn't going to store at this location Joe was so helpful and rented me the unit in Berlin. The customer service was outstanding and I would highly recommend.

I have a unit here and have been renting since 2021. The place is clean and well kept but the best thing about this place is the customer service. Everyone is helpful and goes above and beyond especially Joe. He always has a smile, greets me by name and is just so good at what he does. I highly recommend east hartford Public Storage.

I've been indecisive about where to get a unit for quite some time. I made a reservation online and had some trouble finalizing my rental. I called in to speak with someone, Victor was very informative and patient with me from start to finish. I'm glad I came in to complete my rental bc my experience was great. Victor's greeting was welcoming and his confidence and knowledge definitely made understanding and getting through this process as easy as possible.

Be very careful with this company, because they would try to bamboozle you. Please don’t store valuables in their units, because if life comes at you fast and you miss a payment, then they will do anything in their power to sell your belongings for basically nothing. I think they are the ones who gain from it. Further, I had been renting a small storage unit with them for over 2 years on Robert Street in East Hartford, CT. Unfortunately, my father was undergoing surgery, and I had to up and leave Connecticut, and be with him in New York. I spoke with the property manager Dan about the surgery and the reason I would miss payment because my dad was from another country and I had to front the medication. He gave me a courtesy discount that I appreciated. I kept in contact with them and left a large number of voicemails on the property manager’s telephone. I missed two months payment and I told them I am back in Connecticut working and I will take care of the bill before the ending of the month. Suddenly, I received a text message that my $600 bmw bumper , Ac unit, and part of my bedroom set were auctioned for $10 dollars. They wrote that my balance was almost 600 dollars now too! when my rent was only 100 dollars. Moreover, I called the property manager , not Dan, who quickly said that I was threatening him , when I said to him that if you sold my stuff for $10 dollars in auction after communicating with mgmt., then I would have to review public storage online. He said that is a threat. He also said he was Dan’s boss who was so rude I couldn’t even get his name. I quickly called the district manager ; however, I received his voicemail. I left a message that the person in charge of Robert Street was a liar and that the call should be pulled. I also told him about my ailing father and how I communicated with public storage and the way I was treated.Finally, I had a chance to speak with the district manager Matthew who was adamant that my personal belongings was auctioned for $10 dollars and that the communication with management was nothing, because he had a past due balance.Is these the type of people you want to do business with? I strongly believe that I was being bamboozled. Before I never missed a payment and when I was going through it the management knew what was going on. They knew I was getting ready to make a payment so they took my stuff and left me an inflated bill. Stay away from this company !!!! RUN!

Always loved this storage and used it my whole life like 5 times and never had a problem, tried the one across the street and never again, it was 100$ more and smaller and no climate control and no lights to see at night and had mice, 😞😕

He helped me maintain a cheaper rate for my unit and he works hard to always pick up after people and keep the hallways and parking lot looking nice. And Mandie is so sweet, she’s a new hire & even on her first week she was super knowledgeable and helped me connect to the right people to answer my questions. Tried to get a storage here the customer service rep is very rude yelling when i asked questions. I will be going elsewhere. Chances are if you encounter a rude person its a woman name Yolanda. Originally spoke to a gentleman who was very courteous named Joe. Unfortunately he was unavailable when I called back to book and got scolded.

Staff is friendly, but prices increase often. I'm paying double the amount I started with. May 2022... The rent increased yet again. It is no longer affordable and the late fee is so high that it makes it so difficult to catch up. It's pushing me to move out.

their prices are ridiculously high!!! i've paid the same amount for a space three times bigger than what they are giving for $170. There is no security surveillance Your unit gets robbed and you wld never know till you show up Workers are Lazy and don't check the property either! my second week with the unit already found Mice alive not moving dehydrating from the heat I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have no other choice or it's an emergency .. as in my situation

Started renting in 2019 at $21. This month it’s $69. Adjusting prices to accommodate inflation? Okay, even though this is a fixed cost business. A 300%+ increase in 3 years. I’d rather burn my stuff. I won’t be staying at this facility. Edit: In response to owner, are you saying this review is the first time you’re hearing that you are increasing prices on a storage unit from $29 to $69 in one month?? From a google review? It seems to me you’d have known that and it was a well thought out decision? I hope the 100%+ MoM increase works out for you.

Very rude staff at least they have climate control but you have to put your things on carts and bring them up the elevator the store manager was extremely rude to me when I asked to see a couple different size units if you need climate control then yes this is a good place but if you don’t I would highly recommend somewhere different like I said the staff is extremely extremely rude and disrespectful Also I find it pretty messed up that they don’t respond to one star reviews only five star reviews

Joe was so helpful. I went to east Hartford but I preferred Manchester as I live there. He found me a great deal over there that saves me money and and gas traveling. He did the rental there in East Hartford and helped me get the app setup. Thanks so much.
