Shasta, the property manager at Public Storage on Pierce St in Richmond is a gem! She has been terrific to deal with, both very professional and patient with my questions. She has also helped me navigate all the online requirements to rent and pay for my unit.
The facility is kept extremely clean and orderly. Both she and Jerry have made the stressful process a pleasure.
The customer service was outstanding from entering the office. Shasta was on the phone as she made eye contact, smiled and mouthed that she would be with me in a moment. Immediately after her call she apologized and asked how she could help me. I proceeded to share my situation and as i was talking she was working her magic.
Before I could finish she had solved my problem and I was ready to head out.
Shasta showed knowledge with what was needed, was very pleasant and resolved issue in a speedy fashion.
This isn't the first time encountering her at the 3230 Pierce Street location as I felt it was necessary to share my great experience today.

Jerry was great, was just vacating my storage place and the transaction went fantastically. All my experiences at this storage unit were great. I’ve worked with Jerry a few times on little issues and they were always taken care of!
Filthy facility, people living out of their storage units hanging out all day and the worst onsite management staff ever good luck getting any assistance if you have any issues and price of a unit is 25% higher than other local facilities. Avoid like the plague you’ve been warned.

A week later, I went to complete the booking online and was very concerned when I found out the unit was taken over Labor Day weekend. This place is great; quick access from the freeway, easy to get in and out of, public and well-lit. Easy to reserve a unit and even easier to just download the app and use Bluetooth to open the gate. Jerry at the front desk was super helpful and communicative and returned my call within about five minutes.

Be sure not to overpay, they don’t return your balance. Of course they can only get away with this if you pay in cash. Bad experience there, it was a few years ago but I won’t go back.

The clerk at the location was very friendly. He recognized me from coming a few times. On my last visit I have forgotten to close my storage unit properly. He reached out right away and secured my unit. He was very helpful and I feel very fortunate to have this hard working young man at my storage facility.
