I had a terrible experience with Public Storage while trying to move in on the same day. The customer service was unhelpful at every step of the way. Despite having a reservation, I waited over an hour to complete the paperwork, only to discover that the lady said I couldn't move in because I said it was for my son stuff. Odd. The staff seemed to accusing me of trying to do fraud in my sons name. Making an already stressful situation even worse. If you're looking for a hassle-free moving experience, I suggest you consider other options. Save yourself the frustration.
This facility shouldn't be open, but clearly they are trying to make money while they build new units. Construction for new building frequently blocks access to existing units. Don't rent here in 2023/2024 unless you have no other options, and be ready to need a car wash after each visit. Photos are of the only road from the gate to the existing storage units.
Drive-up storage is more difficult to find these days. This facility is renovating to have both drive-up and Internal, climate-controlled multi-level storage. The website was easy to use and the facility manager, Michael, was extremely respectful and helpful. He was clear-spoken, and has strong customer-service skills.
I can see why they hired him.

Michael was awesome! He helped us as we moved units due to upcoming renovations. He provided us with excellent customer service, showed us our options and ensured the transfer was smoothly done. Even though it was late on a Sunday afternoon, he stayed until things were all settled and we left knowing our belongings are in good hands-thank you Michael-nicely done!

Even though I am not able to secure a place here, the lady works there( I am so dumb that didn’t ask her name, 🤦♂️) is extremely helpful. She explained what shown on website is different than what I need, checked in the system to locate another place that can fit my staff. This public storage has a drive through access. Completed the paperwork in person with Jackie who was courteous and up to date with all info. She even had different options I could choose from and walked me to these lockers so I could get a look. The paperwork was completed quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend the place with great customer service. Bruce the manager was on the spot to help support Jackie as needed.

I first met Nicole when I walked into the Livermore office (although my unit is in Pleasanton) to pay my bill in person. She was sweet, friendly and fast. Great. It wasn’t until the following month went back to the Livermore office (for the SECOND time) that I realized how AMAZING she is. She’d seen me coming and had remembered my name, unit location AND number! By the time I got in the door, she was ready for me to swipe my card. That’s impressive! Not only is she efficient, she’s also all about the customer. Three times now she has emailed corporate on my behalf and had my rent reduced (I’ve had a 10x30 unit 5+ years and they raise the rent regularly). I wasn’t even aware you could do that!
