Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1000 S Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs, CA

There are plenty of places that are a third of the price! $510 for the month of August is insane for a 10x10. Public storage district managers won’t even help if something goes wrong. Tanisha and Betty are super helpful. Fernando in particular. He won’t even return my emails. So unprofessional. More concerned about getting sued than returning my emails (that’s what he said). I had to pay twice for the month of August $510. And he will not work with me at all to even just credit my account with a prorated amount. No attempt to work with me on the unique position that I was in from 2000 miles away. I wish I had gone elsewhere.

Delivers as promised as in the brochure! That’s just a figure of speech, they don’t deliver. Actually, you have to deliver your own junk to their storage facility which is very clean, secure, new and easily accessible. Also the PS app works well, which is a nice bonus. And if that wasn’t enough, Tanisha at the front desk is a delight. She went above and beyond to provide assistance with professionalism, competency and good humor to boot. I’d definitely recommend you stop into this Public Storage to grab yourself a couple storage units and have a chat with Tanisha. Tell her Peter Rox sent you!

I came in on Sunday to get some prices for some units and was helped by Tanisha. She was incredibly helpful and nice! She answered every question I had.

Real talk! All Public Storages are created equal. I have had a storage space for over a year. This location is exceptional because of the two women who manage it. Betty and Tanisha. This location is 5-star clean. If you call and get their voicemail, don't worry. They always call you back and leave a message. The lobby opens at 9:30 am; at 9:30, they are open and ready to help you. When you have a concern, they have always put your needs or concerns first when trying to help you resolve a problem. Suppose you are a snowbird looking to rent short-term or in transition and need a longer storage rental. In that case, you will rest easy knowing your property is safe and secure at this location. This has been my experience.

Hey came in here to palm springs public storage and Tanisha had waited on me yesterday and she was very professional and answered all my questions. The rates there was so incredible way cheaper than anywhere else. Excellent service and friendly and super clean. Definitely recommend it.

Tanisha was super helpful finding the best deal/solution for my storage needs. Very clean facility and always feels very safe. Only complaint is that units with doors that get the wind blowing from west to east get a fair amount of dust blown into them when we have dust storms. I have another unit with the door facing south that doesn't have this same problem.

I’m giving Tanisha & Betty at the Palm Springs location more than a 5 🌟 rating. I was having issue getting my unit downsized on a transfer. I called numerous times to complete the transfer over a period of almost 24 hrs.. at the end of the day … I was able to do everything they required. They were patient & kind & got the job done! Kudos to these 2! I highly recommend this PS location as being top-notch in the Coachella Valley❤️Great job Ladies & Thank you for going ABOVE & BEYOND for me!!!!

I have been a customer at Palm Springs Public Storage for almost 3 years. The facility is well maintained, clean and easily accessed via the Public Storage app. As my needs have changed over this time, Tanisha at the front desk has been more than helpful in making suggestions to inform my decision making. She has also always been pleasant, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this facility.

I came to look at prices for different storage units and thought this was one of the best places to rent from, and also one of the cleanest facilities I’ve visited while looking for storages. Betty was very nice and helped me a lot with everything I needed to know! Recently went back to purchase boxes at this location. This is the only location that I will go to. Betty is always so happy and helpful, and seems to genuinely cares about her customers. Office always looks and smells so clean. I love this place

Recently I needed help in understanding a charge on my account, which was complex and confusing to me, so I went to the Palm Springs office at Gene Autry/Dinah Shore. Betty, the customer service rep on duty, pulled up my account and reviewed the recent transactions. She was very patient and was able to help me clearly understand what charges were pending and why, as well as which had been reversed and what my balance payment would be for the next monthly statements. I left with a smile on my face; thank you, Betty, for taking the time to help this grateful customer!

Extremely clean and well-air conditioned! I’ll admit, It was difficult for me to find a dolly on the property anywhere … but, I ended up bringing my own. I was pleasantly surprised by the difference between the two companies Tanisha was lovely … she was helpful, friendly, and treated me with respect. Compare that to ANY location of the Extra Storage companies here in the desert! Here, you will find this place has: 1. Fair pricing 2. Is WAY cleaner, and 3. Doesn’t jack up prices after you’ve moved in! 4. They don’t charge unfairly for space, locks, or putting a “hold” on a space that turns out not to be conditioned (or any other reason). Conclusion: DO NOT USE ‘Extra Space Storage’ here at any PS location, you’ll regret it!! Thanks again, Tanisha!!

WOW, amazing customer service, friendly and knowledgeable! After the nightmare ordeal with Extra Storage (Jessica manager and Melissa) in Cathedral City and break in at Life Storage in Palm Desert. I finally feel SAFE!! Thank you, Tanisha, and Betty, for the great welcome and customer service!! FYI: Climate control, what a joke at Extra Storage in Cathedral City, night, and day red face hot sweaty, feeling sick due working in a heat box, stating to us (four adults) we could not have any drinks, not allowed, I believe it was a record high of 108°. Then arriving at Public Storage-cool and comfortable to restack my storage bins. Thank you again Tanisha and Betty for assisting us and making us feel welcome and my personal belongings will be safe!

We had a great experience here. The lady who helped us, Tanisha I think was so helpful. The movers arrived before we did and they had a big 18 wheeler. They couldn't get to the storage unit we were assigned. So when we got there, Tanisha had already changed units for us to a new one which was accessable to the movers near the entrance. All we had to do was sign some paperwork and turn in our old unit key. Really nice service.

Tonisha was exceptional in helping me with an issue I had with my rental unit the other day. Such a pleasure to deal with someone who goes out of their way to help you out! Bravo!

Betty Ham was the best. She did not give up on trying to fix the IT problem. The problem IT did when setting up my account. When IT and corporate kept hanging up on me and Betty. I rented a unit at the Public Storage on Gene Autry in Palm Springs today. I had some trouble online so I went to the facility. Both of the woman did an awesome job and got the problem resolved. Friendly and professional!! I wish more businesses were like that! Thank you!!

On the positive side it is a clean facility, easy access and the on site manager and staff are very helpful. On the negative side, their "computer" automatically raises your rent every few months. I started out at about $150 per month for a 10 x 10 x 10 unit. After 18 months my rent was over $300 per month. When I went online I could see that 10 x 10 x 10 units were available at $160 per month. I tried, to no avail, to get them to match the price they were offering anybody who walked in off the street. Instead, I had to physically move out of one unit to another that was a few doors away in the same building. A really stupid way to treat loyal customers!!!

Staff extremely unhelpful, my phone app didn't work so I politely asked the older lady if she would open the gate, she said, "no, I can't ". Another occasion I was locked in. It was 3:30 pm and my code didn't work so tried to go into office. Office locked, no staff present. Ended climbing over using my ladder. Impossible place, expensive.

The on-site people who work at the Public Storage at the 1000 S Gene Autry Trail facility are wonderful. This a review for them and especially Tanisha. Tanisha is professional, personable, knowledgeable and nice. She was there for me when I needed to transfer to a smaller unit by the end of the month. She found me a smaller, less expensive unit that was close to my old one in the same building so that I could easily move my things without having to go outside. Very grateful and appreciated since it’s been 115 this week and going outside for any reason is not nice. Having to go in and out multiple times would have been horrible along with the extra time and energy that would have taken. While I am not happy with Public Storage for raising my rent by $120 in one shot (going from $370 to $490 necessitating the move), I do think that Tanisha and her co-workers should be recognized for the outstanding job they do especially dealing with customers who may not be happy with the corporation that runs the facility. Thank you Tanisha and all of you at Public Storage 1000 Gene Autry Trail for your help and your wonderful attitudes!

I went to Public Storage in Palm Springs , to see about a 10x10, and Tanisha was so amazing she was very aware of the storage and she answer all my questions and doubts that I had about the storage and what I could expect when I get ready to rent a space. I would definitely tell all my friends if they ever need to rent a space, that it would be a great place and very safe to rent there.I was very happy to have talk to Tanisha, and looking forward in renting a storage there. She made me feel very comfortable and that I would never have a problem. Thanks Tanisha and Public Storage!

Expensive but a safe bet on storage.

Betty has been wonderful. Attentive and quick to respond.

The gate access that was emailed to me didn't work and Betty immediately fixed it and provided a new code that worked. She also showed us where the units were and explained how the locks worked. Betty was very helpful throughout the process.

This is not my first space at this Palm Springs Public Storage. Every interaction has been friendly and professional. The spaces have been clean, with gates and doors parts kept in good working order. There are more economical places to store your stuff, for sure, but this is an excellent choice all around. If you need space, go and talk with Betty, who is incredibly helpful, and a very nice person, too!

The only good thing about this place is Betty. Betty is the best on trying to keep you happy but people if your care about what you put in your storage don't store your things here . My storage got broken into and the district manager doesn't cooperate with police enforcement on handing any footage they might have. THEY DONT WORK WITH THE COPS so any footage they have they will not share it and that is super shady . Rather he's in on it or he found out it was one of his employees either way we pay a monthly fee . We should have access to the cameras on site . By far the worst place to store anything. And they advertise that there storage is an extension of your home . These people are trying to take advantage. LOOK AT THE PICTURES notice how one storage unit has the bar going across and the other storage unit has no bar going across. THEY WILLING KNOW THAT THE UNIT WILL GET BURGLARIZED AND WHEN IT DOES FERNANDO THE DISTRICT MANAGER WILL NOT ASSIST THE COPS IN ANY WAY

Betty was super friendly in helping us secure the right storage for our needs. This location and Betty in particular were highly recommended from friends, so when we needed a little extra room after our move we didn’t hesitate to rent from this Public Storage. Facilities were organized, clean and the climate controlled unit was a comfortable temperature for our belongings. If you need storage in PS definitely stop by and chat with Betty!

Betty was a fairly great worker in helping us pick the perfect storage unit. The customer service was fantastic, would definitely come again!

Improvements have been made at this facility. The manager (Victor) is responsive to inquiries and things are a lot more efficient than previously. I should know - I've had storage units here for over 11 years. I often see him walking the property to make sure things are going ok. Additionally, the restroom is FAR cleaner than in the past. This is very important, need I mention Covid? I hope management continues to focus on efficiency and cleanliness, plus good customer service.
