Have rented in many storage facilities, but the facility at Cooks Bay in Lake Forest CA is my favorite. The facility is very well laid out, with good pricing and frequent promos. But what truly separates this property from other storage facilities is the people. Mike at this property is wonderful- always helpful, patient answering all my questions, and knows the property inside out. Dee Dee is always happy to assist also. You can tell the team cares about this property. It shows. Highly recommend.

Deedee was so friendly and nice to talk to. She walked me through how to use the app and was patient showing me how to pay my bills through online. Facility is clean and very spacious. 10 stars for DeeDee.

I have been meaning to write this review a while ago but I am incredibly busy. Regardless I owe Mike the property manager a great review. The place is very well kept and the service from Mike is top notch as he will go out of his way to help you in any way possible. I have rented from many storage places before and this one tops them all. Thanks Mike for all your help!

I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage and I am writing this review to share my disappointment with their services. The employee upfront, Mike, changed my reservation without my approval and was unable to revert it back to the original one. He even tried to bait and switch me into paying more for a different unit. When Mike realized his mistake, he called his boss, but they were unable to offer any solutions or remedies to the situation. I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed by the lack of effort on their part to make things right. It's clear that Public Storage did not value my business or care about my experience as a customer. To make matters worse, this is not the first negative experience I've had with Public Storage. As a paying customer, I deserve to have reliable and efficient services, and Public Storage has failed to deliver on this front. I would not recommend Public Storage to anyone and urge others to look for alternatives. Their competitors next door offer far better services and I have found better options with them. As a customer, it's important to have confidence in the services that you are paying for, and unfortunately, Public Storage has not been able to deliver on this front.

This Public Storage facility has aggressively raised the rates of our 2 storage units close to 50% in less than a year! Bait and switch tactics. We’ve talked to other renters who’ve experienced massive increases as well. To add insult to injury, in a recent visit, the facility elevators were not working properly and there were only 2 carts for the entire building despite repeated requests to increase them. Very disappointing.

I’ve been rented this facility for at least three years and have never been notified. If they’ve had a string of robberies, it would’ve been nice if they were notified the tenants of any robberies that we could have the opportunity to purchase insurance to protect our personal merchandise, but they never notified us and on Christmas December 25 of this year 2022. We were robbed and hit hard on the third floor and when 7 of us tenants asked the manager if this has happened before he said he never had any history of that he’s aware of any that he’s only been there three months, but when the police officer showed up for my report because apparently I was one of the few people that had merchandise missing, he vividly told her that they’ve had a string of robberies three or four of them when he had told me and seven other couples from the 3rd that the floor that was robbed and hit hard that he wasn’t aware of any others so he admitted in a sense to the officer that he was aware that there had been string of robberies, and I think that’s unfortunate because he should’ve given us the tenants an opportunity to insure our units and products since they don’t do it automatically we could protect our products and some of the items cannot be replaced. They failed to secure our units even in the manner of communication. That is poor business practices.

Fast and Easy.

I am owner of NASH Event Management and Luxe Travel Company. I have been, as most companies, downsizing my inventory. With the help and professionalism of employee, Jacob, I have been able to really evaluate what amount of space I truly would need to accurately consolidate my 3 units into 2 with the appropriate amount of floor and height space, without loosing or wasting space. All within my budget!! I recommend Public Storage, Cooks Bay Drive for all your storage needs. Check them out!!

I had to get a storage unit very last minute and Jacob was able to help me get the best unit for my needs, he was super friendly and really helpful during the process even making me realize I was being charged for a lock I did not require as I had brought my own appropriate lock. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone in Lake Forest/ Foothill ranch searching for a storage unit!
