The manager used to be Nicole, who was absolutely amazing! Now they have Ann. Ann lacks a basic customer service skills. She is not good under pressure. There was a rubbery attempt at the property and no one could access the property, including office workers. And Ann was there to meet people who were trying to access their storage units, as was I, with a truckload of furniture to unload. Ann was shouting at people who were asking what happened and when they will be able to access their units. It was clear she couldn't handle the stress of the situation and was irritated and rude.

Nicole is one of the best mgrs. you have , I wish you had a hundred more of her. I had spaces at other locations at one point and moved all of my stuff in to her location even though it is one of the worst setups ever but to be fair I know it was not built as a PS unit so PS cant change that without a total tear down and no one would do that.so Nicole makes the best out a silly problem.. The place is kept clean and when something is not working she is on it ASAP as I said you guys need one like her at all locations.I would tell anyone to go to her location. Update the fool's in the corporate office let Nicole get away she transferred to Florida. Lucky Florida. Good luck Nicole. Miss you

I came here for a storage unit and turns out the one I had was way too small and in an inconvenient location, Chris, the DM helped me by showing me diff units, pricing, took the time to listen to my needs for a unit. He spent a good amount of time to make sure I got the what I needed. I really appreciate Chris going above and beyond with excellent customer service and patience. Thank you Chris! I’ll definitely be referring this place to others and mentioning Chris.

I’m usually pretty disappointed when I come to public storage places because there’s hardly anybody ever there at the front desk but today when I needed it most I came to the desk and Nicole and Marvin were readily available to assist me in finding the right size box. I had a lot of hard times , looking for a box that could fit an awkward sized painting but I feel grateful that I found a box that perfectly fit through the help of Nicole and Marvin at Public storage located in Hayward. This storage facility is not at all secure. The fence facing A street is currently unlocked with a broken lock and the is another hole in the fence on the the back area that the management has not patched up since they opened up. People come and go with stolen property with hight frequency. Take your business and property elsewhere to ensure better security for your property!

I had been at my storage unit for over an hour alone getting things out of my unit . I noticed after I had already put everything back I didn’t see my lock . I opened my storage back up and it wasn’t anywhere in site . I was not about to take all that stuff back down looking for a lock so I noticed it had just hit closing time . I ran to the office and the door was locked but Micheal and Nicole was super nice and understanding about me buying another lock . I appreciate them so much because they actually didn’t have to open the doors for me . If I could give them 100 stars I would . Thank you both so much . Definitely made my day better

I called many storage offices trying to make a decision. Public storage agent on phone was so impressively professional and patient answering my questions, to help me do price comparisons. I happily chose this one located in Hayward. Nichole was the staff there greeting me. She is super familiar and efficient with her job, and warm and professional. This location has brand new storage, two floors, with temperatures control. You will like this place and lovely Nichole.

I am moving my mom across the country and had never rented a storage facility. Although there were some glitches due to software requirements for scheduling, Nicole and Marvin were champions at working through this with me. They were also very on top of things and called me when they noticed I hadn't moved in on the start date (the driver was still en route) - great, attentive customer service.

I'm a person who asks ALOT of questions before making a commitment. Marvyn not only answered all of my questions with more than a one word response, but he did so without the 'come on dude...' vibe. The manager Nicole was hands-on to allay my concerns about security without me having to ask (literally walked with me! I mean a manager who actually manages🤯). Moving can be a very stressful ordeal. 3/3/23 I came into Public Storage to rent a storage unit. The customer service that the team member provided me with and even walking through the process of showing me a unit to get me ready for renting a unit when I move was great service. The team members have great understanding and a lot of patience, ☺️. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this location that is on Hathaway Ave on the corner of A" street, it's in a very good location across the street from Costco and right next door to a tire shop. They provide you with great customer service and very helpful.

10/10, I was working with Jasmine and Chelsea who were extremely helpful in figuring out a cost-effective and flexible solution to helping relocate quite a few things.

5 stars for Marvin who helped my mom and I find a unit here at this location. He was very informative, helpful and went above and beyond to check off all the needs/wants we were looking for in a unit. Marvin was very patient, friendly, and called me back in a timely manner when I left a message regarding the reservation we placed. But just a heads up, the loading zone/area can get busy and tight because there's not a lot of space. You might get stuck if a car is parked behind you.

Clean, accessible, secure. Manager Tristan was very knowledgeable, polite, helpful to explain and answer all my questions. He took the time to show us the storage units and guided us through the application process. We completed everything and we were out the door in less than 30 mins. Great initial experience!

You might want to think twice about this facility. I thought this location was going to be great since it was so new and clean, UNTIL I WAS BURGLARIZED. First, if you're on any upper floors, trying to park on the weekends can be tricky as the loading bay area (next to the elevators) is usually crowded or full. Also, in at least half of the trips I made over the last 6 months, at least one elevator is out of service. Another customer said she was there recently when both were out and she was unable to remove things from her storage (however I've never seen both out simultaneously.) But the biggest reason for my poor review is that this supposedly secure facility is anything but: I went to load some things in Saturday only to discover someone had been in my unit and stolen a number of items. Initially I was confused as to how they got access, but later I could see where they cut through the flimsy wire ceiling and climbed in. I reported it and was told they would create an incident report and they would also report it to the police and that they would follow up with me later this week. They asked about/suggested their insurance repeatedly, but I have coverage through my homeowner's plan, and this is hardly the point as some of the items taken are not able to be replaced. When I called today to follow up (I don't need to name names, some of the staff has been very friendly and helpful), the person in the office today needed to look into it: the information they had did not match the facts of the case. When they called back, I was told I should file my own police report (assuming they don't bother to call the police unless you buy their insurance). I am now a 5-hour drive away and had they told me this while I was there, I could have handled this in-person. I have also been told that my unit will not be repaired until I vacate the unit. They will let me move to another unit with an in-tact ceiling, but due to the large space and quantity of stuff there, I would have to hire movers again to move everything, because of course they won't help or pay for it. It's not like I actually thought they would offer to do anything to help me, I'm just frustrated that I now have to again spend my money and time if I want my property in a secured unit. When I asked about any additional steps being taken to ensure this does not happen to myself or other people, the staff member (who was clearly uncomfortable being in this situation), had nothing to say (other than sorry) when I asked about plans to increase or improve security in any way. So, what you need to know before you rent here (and probably other storage facilities): There is no one at the facility overnight, there are few cameras, and I've never seen any staff walking the corridors when I am there. "Security" is their office staff. The gate/door codes are meaningless as thieves can easily tailgate into the facility and get on the elevators with other people (or, anyone who rents there can easily access other renters' units the same way mine was broken into). The open ceilings are made of small-gauge hardware cloth/fencing material and is easily cut. (It's worth noting that they took the time to put the material back in place, presumably to avoid detection, so I'm assuming they are/were continuing to rob other units there and didn't want to alert anyone to their activities). At this point, if I have to hire movers and move all the contents of my house, I might as well move to one less prone to theft. In the mean time, all the apologies are pretty useless to me. Be careful what you choose to entrust Public Storage with.

The property manager Shareefa was excellent. I have the best experience while renting a storage space. Gina and Shareefa customer service was great very knowledgeable and professional she made sure that I knew exactly how to access the property step by step. What stood out most about her is care to manage the property her sentimental words as I thanked her for her help and complimented her on her customer service was “because people lives are in here” which is so true. The compassion she has for being the property manager is excellent. I noticed the training she gave Gina as well to make sure Gina knew the system. She offered me services to make my life better. I wish her all the best for helping me through this transition.

Worst parking spots ever!!

Elevators were out and my unit is on the top floor. Shareefa (possibly spelled wrong, sorry) walked up the stairs with me to open the door and for that I am grateful.
