My recent experience with this Public storage( Signal butte) customer service was, quite frankly, one of the worst I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I reached out for help, I was met with rude responses, and an overall lack of interest in solving my issues. It was as if they were doing me a favor just showing up to work
Carrie and Debbie both provided horrendous customer service ( I don’t want to get into details) and had no idea how to address my problems. I would never ever refer a friend or family member to this facility. I work in customer service and provide excellent service to my clients but not everybody loves what they do. It’s astonishing how little this company cares about its customers. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere if you value your time and sanity.
I’m not sure how this place has such a high rating. Maybe with the cleanliness and appearance of the building. Beyond that we have constant issues with codes not working, not being able to reach property managers during the day and the carts always being locked away. Spent over 35 mins outside the building this afternoon trying to get into our units on the 1st and 3rd floor. Me and my employees tried the codes and nothing. Another customer laughed as we were waiting because she’s had the same issues.
Customer Service on the property is excellent. Property Manager Carrie is great!. She is always helpful, personable, and professional concerning any questions or concerns I may have.

Such a relief dealing with a great place after some storage nightmares at other places. Carrie is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She has been helpful and explained everything so perfectly. It’s been such a breath of fresh air to have her to deal with.
At first everything was great. Then 3 months later without notice my rent went up double what it was, the fees changed dramatically. Getting ahold of the office manager is absolutely ridiculous. Once they have your stuff it all down hill. Poor customer service, ridiculous fees. I wish I would have gone somewhere else!!!!! Beware!!!

This location is a great location I’ve been with them for a year plus and I have no complaints. They are very responsive and understanding. Rebecca was such a help to me while renting my first storage unit. She showed me around to look at the different sizes and helped me purchase items for packing. It’s all climate controlled with dolly's and elevators so it can’t be any easier. I would rent a storage from here again if I needed to in the future.

I am so thankful to Ms Carrie. She has always been so very helpful me. I was so stressed about moving my things, cause I'm having surgery next week, and she was totally took the stress away. I have been a customer here with Public Storage, since they opened this facility. The unit I was in was a 10×20, and over time I have been emptying it out and found it has gotten too big for my stuff. Carrie suggested I move into a 10×10. I wouldn't have thought about that. There was an issue with my unit not unlocking. Rebecca and Kyle were wonderful, helping problem solve and getting me into my unit.

Beware! If you are a long term renter like us, Public Storage will not do right by you! We first became renters in December of 2020 when it was called Dominion. Then in May of 2021 Public Storage took over and have raised our rates nearly triple. The rates posted online favor short term renters. Here is our rate history: Dec 2020 $107, Dec 2021 $140, Dec 2022 $178, March 2024 $204, June 2024 $269. This is for a 10x10 unit. While the management overseeing the property has been very kind and apologetic, it is sad that a huge company like this doesn't see value in longer term renters, who've never ever missed a payment or created any loss of value to the place. Public Storage please consider treating your long term renters with as kind of rates as you do new renters. Super disappointed and feeling very taken advantage of!
So I’ve been renting from here for about the last two years and prices have gone up however I am downsizing and they are helping me downsize in from a 1015 to a 5 x 10 The managers really taken the time to guide me through what I need to do to downsize and let me use his cart so I can walk things over to Goodwill. He is amazing and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Spoke to marina about getting a storage...she was very helpful in details and great custumer service...i give her a five star rate....very kind and helpful. Thank you marina

Amanda is great! I’ve been a customer of this location for a while, but I haven’t ever needed anything outside of the mobile APP. I ordered a new unit today and the APP was having trouble with my access code and checking into my new space. Amanda not only helped reset my account, but also gave me a quick tutorial of the APP’s features so I was able to access my unit remotely. Very thankful for her and her service.

We left because the price increases. Corporate refuses to work with people who want long-term storage. We have been storing with storage units around the Mesa area for over 10 years and we continue to move around due to Price increases. You should treat your customers better that are long-term because they’re gonna be there. As far as your staff, Amanda and Carrie, you couldn’t do better, they go out of their way to help people and do the best that they can so congrats to both of them. we hope you treat them better than your customers.

I hate Public Storage because of their constant rent increases but at least we have awesome managers like Carrie working for them to make it less painful. I've been renting from various PS locations for over 2 decades and Carrie is by far the best manager I've ever dealt with. Don't let her go!
The good: Rented a storage unit online, and the process was simple. We arrived on-site and decided to check in with Joe at the front desk before we found our unit, and I'm glad we did. He showed us the ins and outs of getting around and helped us find our unit. When we got there, we realized it was a bit smaller than we thought it would be, so he helped us upgrade to a larger unit. Joe was incredibly helpful and so nice to work with. The space is clean and new.
The bad: They will raise your rate every 6ish months. Ours more than doubled in a year. However, they are willing to work with you if you reach out. Ours went from around $100 to $240 in the course of a year. After speaking with someone (Carol, I believe), she was able to bring it down closer to $200, which I appreciated.
I agree with Nicole. They increased my rent by almost more than $30 with no explanation, but with a just notice "WE WILL INCREASE YOUR RENT." I don't know why they disappoint a royal customer who pays rents with no delinquency. Absolutely, I won't go back to PUBLIC STORAGE. Please be careful with your bill.
Absolutely horrible. They increased my rent by over $100.00. Not one phone call to discuss increase or why. The insurance I got was $15.00 a month and has gone up to $60 , there has been over $160 in "other fees" .. they argue with you on the phone when you try and explain that they made a mistake and it needs to be fixed. Then tried to auction my unit for unpaid fees due when the "fees" we're not there we're not correct. From the second month that I started renting there I began the problems the increase of rent the increase of insurance the increase of odd fees that nobody can explain. Sounds like extortion and maybe small claims court. Horrible place

Amanda and Carrie were amazing! Amanda helped me understand my lease very clearly and gave me the BEST unit. I'm so happy she was there to help me. She explained how safe and secure the building is. Really made me feel so comfortable knowing that they watch the security camera all the time. The next day, Carrie helped me fix the lock on my unit. She took the time to call me in the morning to let me know that I did not put my lock on yet. These ladies were so helpful, and I'm so happy I chose this public storage to store my things.

Update: just after a few months renting here, we were notified of an almost 100$ rent increase. Every couple months I've had to call to try to keep a reasonable rent. Be weary if you are looking for something long term. Their rent increases are extreme and not worth the hassle. Everyone in the store has always been helpful. But dealing with the 800 number is a coin toss.

We've stored here for about 9 months. Always clean, always functional. When we decided we needed to upsize, Joe got us into one on the same floor, same aisle, that night. We couldn't have asked for more efficient friendly service.

Since the pandemic began, customer service had dwindle down...way down. I started to somehow accept that this is the way of our social life now. But then, someone reminds us that it isn't the case. Easy access to storage unit with elevators and carts to help easily move furniture and boxes. Customer service was great. The On site manager Joe helped find a smaller unit than the one I had which saved me quite a bit of money!

The first woman I talked to on the phone after I made a reservation absolutely infuriated me. I really hope I never have to deal with her in the future (she did not work out of this location, just answered phones or did call backs for it).
However! Joe was absolutely wonderful. He made the process of getting my unit so easy and helped me find some packing materials I needed (which are the same price or cheaper than Lowes and home depot). I feel very happy that he works out of this location because I know if I need anything in the future he will be my point of contact. Joe's customer service and professionalism is beyond what anyone could ask for.
