Hello, I had a rough start in dealing with getting my unit. I went into the office and met Tanya @ 98th & Holmes location, she's the Best! Her customer service is unmatched!! I would recommend this unit to anyone I haven't had a problem with this place and Tanya was always helpful with anything that I needed I wouldn't go anywhere else. Tanya always helps with questions and makes it a very easy transition to move in and out of the unit I was grateful to meet her as I was worried about storing my things away from me from past experience from other storage properties.

If every business’s customer service was as good as what I experienced from Tanya, property manager at the Holmes Rd location, the world would be a better place. I went there in tears from all stress I was under. She answered all my questions thoroughly, showed me how awesome the Public Storage app is to have at my fingertips, and she was kind, helpful, professional, and she had me laughing a few times, which I VERY MUCH needed. We bought a storage unit from the location on Holmes Rd we go to pick it up yesterday at 3:30pm no on is there sat there until 7:00 pm because we were told someone was on there way. No one ever showed up went back today to pick unit up the girl that runs that location still no where to be found. So 2 wonderful ladies from a different location meet us there to take our payment and open the lock. Only to discover that the property manager decided to go in and pick all the good stuff out of it and leave nothing but trash still no phone calls from the office number. Very poor costumer service will never do business with that location and to sell a storage unit to someone and then go in and steal the items inside who else have you done this to.
Horrible service got here before they closed and been waiting for 2 hours for some one to help us , played phone tag so far no luck 😔

In case folks don't have time to read this entire review, I want yal to know that this facility SUCKS. They have shady employees who are in cahoots with thieves who rent the smallest unit they can, and they will cut the lock off of your unit, put their lock on it, and raid you for all of your belongings.

I think it's amusing how the owner can respond to the positive comments that have been left in the past week, but they're refusing to address my mother's review concerning one of the recent (not the first of its kind) break-ins to occur at the beginning of this month (March 3rd, to be exact).
My mother has contacted one of the district managers, Mark Weigum, several times via phone and has yet to get a response. I emailed Mark and the other district manager, Robert Pfuetze, last Friday, 3/8, and they have yet to respond.
From what I've gathered from their LinkedIn accounts, as district managers, they oversee operations and customer service and supposedly ensure compliance with company policies and standards. Based on the fact that my mother's unit was raided by meth heads who appeared to be in cahoots with Tonya, who works the front desk, it doesn't look like either Mark or Robert are performing to that standard which means they don't have their customers best interests at heart.
As I mentioned in my email, people are already struggling in this economy. Then, they use their hard-earned money to do business with companies like yours advertised as safe solutions and end up in positions like this, where they suffer so much loss. My mother has described this as a "punch to the gut." They took boxes of photos that my mother will NEVER be able to get back—photographs of her deceased mother and father. They took things that belonged to her deceased mother and father. My mother is an immigrant, and they took documents from the country she was born in. That is not okay, and I will not stop contacting you until you address this situation rightfully.
As I mentioned in my last email to Robert and Mark, I will take this to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and just about anyone or any platform that will hear me out.
If you've made it this far into my review and you're thinking about renting a storage unit from this facility, I strongly advise that you don't. Take your hard-earned money and go somewhere else.
With all the going on at this facility Tonya is always so professional and kind. She help with our move to a different unit with grace and style. She is a pleasure to see!!

I’m writing this review to WARN you about what happened to me at this location. I had ALL of my furniture stolen, my clothes, my sons clothes, shoes, 3, tvs, pots, pans, pretty much my entire life accumulation of things I’ve worked hard for were stolen from out my unit at this public storage! I am beyond upset, I am hurt, disappointed, frustrated and just sick to my stomach. Life has been extremely hard for my son and I, I recently lost my mother and now this! Please be careful if you have items at this facility!
Wish there was more camera in the back row by the fencing. Anyone can go under fencing and break in and not be seen.
I had a great experience at this location. This is my second time using them. Tonya is very helpful! Next time I need storage I will be back.
I wanted to thank Tanya at the storage unit on 98th & holmes . Every time I was there she was always cleaning the doors and checking the property. She kept the area very clean and she is very friendly and always said hello.

I love the idea of me opening my storage from my phone without ever getting out of my car. However, this location needs a better system for customers to get ahold of staff since they’re never on the premises .

Horrible experience. The place is not secure. There is a hole in the back fence and my trailer was broken into twice. My rent went up 37% in 18 months. The staff allowed someone to place a damaged car 2 feet into my space and it didn’t move for a year despite my requests. Lastly I vacated my space on the first of the month and missed notifying them by 20 minutes so they charged me another month’s rent. When you ask to speak with someone in charge no one steps forward. I left a message and no one called back. Store you stuff somewhere else.

Wonderful experience at Public Storage at 98th and Holmes Rd. Unit manager, Tanya, assisted me and was totally professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the facility. I've rented storage at many locations across the country, and haven't previously encountered anyone as helpful as Tanya. The facility is clean and the units I looked at were all in great condition! I highly recommend this location.
While visiting my storage unit I needed assistance and Tanya was again very helpful. Public Storage is lucky to have such an excellent employee at this location!
Do not do business with them I moved out my unit October 26th they didn’t mark my unit vacant until November 9th & wants me to pay for November even though my things was moved out Oct 26th. I didn’t even know they tried to charge me for Nov until a collection agency called me

I booked a 10x10 unit online, when I got to my unit it was a single man door, and also not truly a drive up unit because there was 6 feet in between it and another building. I was not given the option online for a roll up door either. My couch won’t fit through a single man door. When I called and transferred units for a roll up door, the property manager told me it was $26 more a month which was fine with me. When I went back to the property, she said it was $44 more a month and that she mis-quoted me the online booking price. Transferring units is not something you can do online, and she said in person booking prices are more expensive. She encouraged me to call the 1-800 number to receive the online price since I originally booked online. When I called, they said they could not honor the online price and because I transferred units, I was unable to receive a refund. Such poor customer service, rent elsewhere.

The girl working there was so helpful even tho she was extremely busy. And someone or someones stole all the carts so its really hard to move anything in or out...So whom ever stole the carts bring them back.you make it hard for everyone......
Becky, was wonderful she called on a reservation and was able to show me the unit in fifteen minutes. I love this place and feel my items are safe.

This place is so unprofessional they will mess up your reservation and then when u arrive will tell u they can’t fix it Na will charge you more but yet has a big sign that says 100% customer satisfaction. The worst service I ever had!!
Not secure! Waste of money! I had my catalytic converter stolen while my vehicle was stored in this facility. Called and left a message and moved my car elsewhere. Talked to the weekend manager and she couldn’t help me other than to move me out. She said she’d have someone who could help me call during the week. No one called or returned my call when I left a message later that week. Very disappointed. $1100 disappointed.
As a follow up I never got a call regarding this incident after repeated calls and messages left. I filed a police report. It would have been nice if they could have tried to help at all. As you can see after months they haven’t bothered to reply here.
66th & Troost location has not had anyone in office "regularly" for months - the Toya lady who was there did not want to take my or another lady's payment - said do online & was nasty to us both.
Often no carts to move stuff, filthy elevators & floors not clean. Took months to fix entry doors - had to back in exit ones. Homeless rent/ living in units there. IMO his place needs more than 1 or 2 people for it's 900 units - poorly managed compared to their other locations like 98 & Holmes one!
