Once again, Chris has went above and beyond! I transferred to a smaller unit, and he had one three doors down from my other unit! The transfer was done in a matter of minutes in the office. I had everything moved out and cleaned in less than an hour. It was an easy transition, and I couldn't have done it without Chris being so helpful with a smaller unit close by. He is definitely an asset to your company. Had it not been for his suggestion of going to a smaller unit in the middle of the month to save money, I don't know what I would've done. Thanks again Chris, you're amazing!! I have had great service for the past two years. Chris is amazing and always helpful. I have really appreciated his helpful suggestions. When my rent was increased he was able to get it lowered for the next month. I'm retired with a fixed income. I will be recommending Public Storage to everyone! I rented a unit from them for a long length of time. Paid for their" insurance" and have had a horrible experience. BEWARE when renting a unit from them. Mine flooded, they called and said they had a drain issue and took care of it but things may have gotten wet and to use the ins to get replaced if that was the case. Ok , life happens. I go down( I live 3 hrs away) to get my things from storage and half of my things were ruined. The water had to of got over a foot deep. I was dumping water out of totes. Lost all furniture and clothing. 4 large black garbage bags of clothing. Important papers in totes. Who knows how that got wet. But it did. I got no reimbursement for having to pay for hauling everything to dump, uhaul or how about the fact that I paid for the insurance. The insurance that don't insure you will get anything replaced in the event that your storage unit floods due to run down bldg. Do not rent here. There were dead mice and bugs everywere and it smelled so bad. Probably dead animals and wet, rotting units. Now to replace everything, thanks Public Storage. Way to run a good business.

BEWARE TO ANY RENTERS WHO ARE NOT LOCAL TO THE LANSING AREA! AWFUL! RUN! We reserved for a unit to move our daughter in temporarily before move-in in August. Chris called and encouraged us to prepay for the unit. Chris was nice and accommodating at this point. FIRST MISTAKE! NEVER PREPAY!!! We arrive at the unit on our move in day Sunday. Here’s why you should run… 1. The building is not kept climate controlled cool. The temp was in the 80s outside. Indoors it was in the mid to high 70s 2. The building reeked of staleness and overwhelming weed. 3. The unit we purchased was full of spider webs on the door. Thus an indicator about the upkeep. 4. The unit is constructed of wood — thus a breeding ground for bugs 5. The unit door was kicked in from the inside, which lets me know that people inhibit these units while the office staff is not there. 6. HERES THE BEAT PART…. THERE WAS A MAN IN HIS UNDERWEAR FROM OUTSIDE ONE OF THE UNITS!!! I called Monday morning to receive a refund, as we didn’t move in. Chris was unwilling to refund what we had paid despite the conditions. He coined it as we wanted a newer unit. No Chris, we want a clean, unkept space that doesn’t allow the renters to bathe in the open. EDIT: The district manager called today after Chris reached out to him and made it right. So we got a refund, which is all I was looking for. I appreciate the follow up.

The property manger went above and beyond, and was very professional and courteous. The facility's grounds are maintained, and the security is adequate. Although there is no temperature controlled units, the buildings are slightly better than other locations I've encountered. I look forward to using this location again in the future. Update: I was not disappointed in further interactions! They are consistently professional and courteous. The manager even remembered who I was, even after 3 months.

I can only give this place one star because in the last year, they have increased our rent by $100.00 for absolutely no reason. Even when you pay on time they still increase rent by ludicrous amounts. We are now leaving public storage. They just lost really good renter's. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS STORAGE FACILITY. The absolute greed from this business is a astonishing. Update-it's been 7 months now with the new storage facility and they haven't raised my rent 1 penny like this place did. Go rent from Comet storage.

I have had my unit @ public storage since February of 2020 & just finished my move out today. Working with public storage has been the most positive experience for me! My unit was very clean upon move in & I felt like my items were very secure & safe inside the building. I’ve mostly worked with Chris at the Lansing office & he has always answered any of my questions or concerns with kindness! I would store my belongings with them again if I needed to!

THIS PLACE IS THE WORSE STORAGE UNIT PLACE IVE EVER HAD PERIOD THE MANAGER IS NOT A NICE PERSON AT ALL NOT EVEN A LITTLE HE IS ON YOU ABOUT EVERY LITTLE ISSUE EVEN MINOR THINGS !! Rented my unit online, it was a very easy, painless and helped with managing my time. I would recommend Public Storage in a heartbeat. The manager that assisted me was very helpful, answered all my questions.

Great Service. I've had the unit for about 7-8 months and needed to change to a smaller one. Chris made the process very easy to do so. I was in there and out of there with no hassle. Also like the app idea with the gate unlock instead of using a code!!

Always friendly and helpful. The only thing I see issues with... is all the snow/ice on property. I slipped and fell on the ice last week. Yikes! Might wanna consider hiring someone for snow removal before someone really gets hurt. 🤔

Chris did an AMAZING job making sure I knew my storage items were safe. The only reason I moved out of my unit is because my living situation changed from what I thought it would be when I got the unit, and it was now too far away to be convenient. I had one of the 24 hour smaller units on the perimeter, and even though my unit wasn't inside the gates, I always knew my items were safe. Chris went out of his way to explain things thoroughly, and he is very helpful! He will go out of his way to have authentic conversations with you, and is a friendly face to have on site.

Tom and Chris both went out of their ways to get my storage unit a day earlier than I planned. Tom was a miracle when I had problems with my access code and had a uhaul full of stuff to get put away. He happened to stop by after office hours for his own unit. He went inside and fixed the problem for me when the corporate number told me I had to come back tomorrow. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Update: Today we moved out of I storage unit* 1/19/2022, Updating because from day one my family and my experience with this public storage was amazing* Never had any problems, this was our 1st experience with needing to use a storage facility, and we were super nervous, We moved in March 2021 and was able to finally get our things and move out of storage January 2022. If need be would definitely use this storage again. From day one they were helpful and polite. Awesome customer service even closing out our unit. Thanks Public Storage Lansing 👍
