Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 7 Progress Ave, Chelmsford, MA

I’ve been a customer here for over 2 years. Overall it’s a good facility that’s clean and maintained. I recently had some issues with my unit and the change in rent price. Tom reached out to me and was able to work on fixing my concerns and lowering my price.

Editing to say that the company I reviewed was not Public Storage when I reviewed it. It was All American Storage. No one as far as I can tell was notified in advance of this change. I just received a notice of increase on my rent from All American on 4/4 and now 4/11 I got an email from public storage saying I have a new agreement to sign. I was never notified that they were changing hands. I almost deleted because I thought it was a phishing email!! I first rated them a year ago and I stand by the 5 stars still. In fact, I now rent a second unit there. It’s clean, it’s accessible and a bonus is the music on inside the building! Everyone is very friendly and helpful in the office as well! Highly recommend.

YOUR STUFF IS NOT SAFE HERE - MULTIPLE BURGLARIES ATTEMPTED. this facility was previously All-American Self Storage; after getting acquired by Public Storage the facility has gone to crap. Good luck getting into contact with the property manager. Someone tried to break into my storage unit - they assured me they would reach out to me "the next day" to remove the broken lock and to get access to my unit. Zero response >3 days later. Had to go through online chat where they told me it would be another 3 days. While I at the facility, another tenant mentioned that the side doors are now permanently unlocked (anyone can come in, so much for the key code), and yet another person said that the security screen on top of their unit had been peeled back. YOUR STUFF IS NOT SAFE AND THEY DO NOT CARE!

BE AWARE :f I could leave less than one star I would . So it started in July of this year. I took 10 days off of work to move. I opened one unit and closed another unit due to size. After the 3 rd day of moving I could smell a very prominent gas smell. I expressed this to Beth and she assured me that she would look into it. After 4 separate occasions and 8 days later the smell was still there. Beth was aware and did smell the gas herself. The smell made her and I dizzy and nauseous within minutes. So each occasion I let it be know it was still bad and was promised it would be taken care of. I was also promised that I would get a reduction from both u it's since I couldn't remove the contents from the old one to the new one. Well, nothing g happen. So, on the 9th day I went I to looking for To talk to Beth. Instead I spoke to this rude man named Rick. Well, Rick was the worst. I expressed my concerns and told me that there was nothing they can do except make calls to unit owners in the area of my new unit. Being concerned, I asked if there could possibly be a gas leak. Well, his answer to that was that he worked in construction and it wasn't possible. I said that maybe the fire department should be called. That was when he told me " I don't know what to tell you, nothing I can do for you" I replied by stating that I will be going to the Fire dept. He last response was " Do what you want, I don't care"! So I went to the fire Dept. WlIt was then I was reassured they would be going out. . 2 days later, the smell was gone. Now I was looking for the credits for not being able to get into units( when I opened the new u it I was charged approximately $70 and told it would be reimbursed the next day. Didn't happen for weeks). So I was reluctant to pay until I get credit. Now, I spoke with Rick, Tom, Beth customer service and I forget the other women's name who went on maternity leave. Not to mention the 5 occasions I went there during open hours with doors locked. Got the excuse they are short staffed and no one could be there because clearly I wasn't getting anywhere with anyone on the phone Now, I get promised over and over to have a Stephanie call me. Never received a call. I guess she is district. It seems they only care about themselves. So now, my unit is up for auction and I all I wanted was the credits promised. Now fees out of control and no response. So think ahead before Renting here. Thank you all

We have had a unit at this location since 2021. The transition from All American to Public Storage was bumpy but Frank helped us today to get all set up and we have always been happy with the service, cleanliness, and ease with this facility. 😊

The warehouse is very clean and cars can enter the warehouse. It is easy to reach the destination. The warehouse is very close to our company and can be reached quickly. I hope that in the future, it can be accessed 24 hours a day

Was super impressed by the amount of space and variety in size of units. Very clean facility and both Adam and Jessica were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during my visit!

The team in Chelmsford did an amazing job throughout my time renting three units and when I left they were of help when one of my movers injured themself and provided much needed water until we could replenish. This facility is one of the cleanest and easy access storages I have ever leased.

It was super easy to navigate the website to reserve and pay for a unit. Signing the paperwork thru my email was also very easy, and the manager was very nice and helpful over the phone. Getting onto the property and into the unit was also quick and easy. I am, so far, very pleased

The facilities were clean, and eventually, I was able to understand how the system worked.

I was there on Saturday and forgot the lady who helped me. She has only worked here for four months, hopefully this will allow you to know who she is. She deserves praise and recognition. I switched to a smaller unit, she knew what she was doing. Went out of her way to help me without hesitation, put my interest above hers, and she was quite busy. It’s staff with a great attitude like this that results in customers like me staying. Thumbs up to her.

I only gave three stars since the rental rate increases were happening many times to the point it reached double the origin rate. On the plus side, the location is very clean and convenient to load and unload items with spacious corridors and halls to move stuff.

I have been renting here for years and up until recently had a great experience. Now I am in the process of emptying my unit and finding a new place to store things. In the past few years, the place has started to deteriorate and it is not worth the high cost. The gates are often broken and left open. There have been many times when the doors to enter the building are broken and you have to walk your items in and out a small side door. The bathroom inside has been very dirty- looks like it's rarely cleaned. And the most confusing part is that they have increased the price of units several times in one year. I am not sure what they are doing with all the money since it is not going back in to the business. At least not this location. I would encourage you to find storage elsewhere.

Absolutely professional clean wonderful staff very secure as well as genuinely safe to preserve your cherished belongings and or whatever else you would need to store. Helped in a time of need showed compassion to two disabled persons that were targeted and abused helping us change units after illegal removal and mandated to bring to our storage at all American storage All American storage saw this heard our story and allotted us to change units into a larger unit because the people that illegally displaced us broke all of our medical equipment and most everything we had aside everything else they took, so We would say that this is the best storage place to go. Thank you so much all American storage in Chelmsford Massachusetts!!…

This was a great experience! The building was meticulously clean, and all the staff were very friendly. It was easy to do whatever I needed to do, whether that meant renting a unit, changing my home address, changing my unit, or eventually canceling the service. I would absolutely recommend these guys!

The storage lockers are easily accessible by elevator. You go through security gates, entering your code then enter inside the building. Your contents stay dry and I just love it. We moved to this facility because of access from indoors and able to use the elevator. Adam at the front desk is very professional and very helpful.

Im horrible with names but we had a young lady at first to move us in get all the paper work signed then took us around to show us where everything is also our unit. The Manager, Adam Foss, was extraordinarily helpful, walking me through the process of renting a space, cost per sizes, etc. He showed me various actual possibilities, how to get to them, which elevator, & turns in hallways. After my renting space, he even accompanied me to indoor space for unloading/loading , showing me where to park after I went through gates with my car & access code. I'm 77 & technologically braindead so this was terrific. Since it's called "Self Storage" & emphasis had been for online booking, I hadn't anticipated an amazingly helpful human. A beautiful facility, by the way, in no way reflecting the dark, murky storage units in movies & TV programs.

Adam was one of the best people! Helped me with everything i needed with the storage. Was always understanding when it came to certain things. And just a wonderful person in general.
