Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 5401 LB McLeod Road, Orlando, FL

Minha experiência com essa empresa e, especialmente, com o local onde guardei minhas coisas, foi simplesmente TERRÍVEL. Inicialmente, fui atraído por uma propaganda que prometia um mês grátis de aluguel, mas isso nunca aconteceu. Desde o início, fui lesado: para entrar, tive que pagar $35 e, já no segundo mês, paguei mais $55. A propaganda afirmava que eu poderia encerrar o contrato a qualquer momento, mas a realidade foi completamente diferente. Meu vencimento era todo dia 7 de cada mês, e antes do próximo vencimento (dia 7 de novembro), liberei o espaço no dia 1º de novembro, comunicando formalmente minha intenção de encerrar o contrato. Até aí, tudo deveria estar resolvido. No entanto, o proprietário do local, de forma inacreditavelmente mal-educada e arrogante, afirmou que eu estava devendo $99. Questionei imediatamente, explicando que estava liberando o espaço antes do vencimento, e que portanto não devia nada. A resposta foi um ABSURDO ainda maior: ele alterou o vencimento para o dia em que comuniquei a saída (1º de novembro), numa tentativa evidente de forçar uma cobrança indevida. Quando reclamei novamente, a situação piorou. O mesmo "profissional", em um ato de abuso total, alterou a cobrança mais uma vez, agora para o valor de $78,92 – um número sem qualquer explicação ou justificativa. Até hoje, não entendo de onde surgiu essa cobrança, já que eu deixei o espaço antes do vencimento para o próximo mês e havia cumprido todas as obrigações até então. O pior? Ele ainda me ameaçou: disse que, se eu não pagasse, meu nome seria enviado para agências de cobrança (collections). Isso foi a gota d'água. Esse tipo de comportamento é não apenas antiético, mas abusivo e desrespeitoso. Apesar de tudo, tentei buscar explicações tanto com ele quanto com a Public Store, mas ninguém respondeu. Senti-me completamente ignorado e desamparado como cliente. Para evitar mais problemas, acabei pagando o valor indevido, que até hoje ainda consta como pendente no sistema – outro exemplo da incompetência e descaso dessa empresa. Conclusão Minha recomendação? FUJA DESSE LUGAR E DESSA EMPRESA! Eles não são apenas desorganizados, mas também abusivos e mal-intencionados. As propagandas são enganosas, o atendimento é arrogante, e a forma como lidam com seus clientes é um verdadeiro abuso. Não confie suas coisas a esses maus feitores, porque a dor de cabeça não vai compensar. Procure outra empresa mais séria e respeitosa antes que seja tarde demais.

There was a mishap with my account ( at the fault of a different employee) and Darrin worked to make sure everything got corrected. He is the ONLY reason I decided not to take my business elsewhere. Advice to Public Storage, keep Darrin on board, he is an absolute gem. As for a review on my storage unit, it's very spacious and I'd recommend others to rent a space here.

The only reason I gave a 2 star is because Darrin is really nice and he’s great at what he does. He’s fairly new and I wish he would’ve been there when I arrived. I probably would’ve gotten a call back about the ac problem and it probably would’ve been fixed under him and my stuff wouldn’t have gotten mold on it. My indoor unit was right behind the office and the ac would always leave a huge puddle in front of the door to get into the hallway. In July or August, the ac finally broke and they just never fixed it. FOR MONTHS! IN THE SUMMER! They rarely answered so I had to leave voicemails but nobody ever called me back. When I finally got ahold of someone, in October or November, they said there was a work order for the ac to be fixed but that was awhile ago and it was signed off. They said that’s only if it’s been fixed and it definitely hasn’t been because they were just back there behind the office and it was hot. Due to family emergencies, I lost my unit because I missed 2 months payments. They wouldn’t work with me even when I told them about my moldy things and the broken ac that was supposedly fixed but wasn’t. I use storage units a lot and I don’t care for the way public storage does business. I’ve always worked customer service positions. If you are renting out a unit that is indoors with ac and the ac breaks, you give a credit for the difference of what an outdoor unit costs. Doesn’t matter if they pay for insurance, it stayed broken because you failed to fix it in time for mold not to grow on people’s possessions. Also, the insurance would look into it and find the work order that was signed off as “fixed” and think it’s fine even though it’s not. Find another storage company if you want a unit indoors with ac. (Sorry Darrin, I wish I had good things to say and I know you weren’t expecting this)

I have had a storage unit with "Public Storage" off LB McLeod Rd since June of 2022. I finally switched to Extra Space Storage, less than a 1/4 mile down the road, just this week. Every since day #1 of moving-in there is always a car parked across from my unit. As my unit is pretty close to the entrance/gate this car being there causes me to not be able to park in front of my unit. (I have a so called drive-up unit). If I pull in front of my unit there is not enough space for any other cars to pass by who come through the gate. When I moved in with my moving truck had to keep moving my truck every 15 minutes while I tried to unload my belongings. This continued to be VERY inconvenient! This car apparently belongs to one of the on-site Managers who lives on site with P Storage. I reached out to PS but never got a reply over the last 8 months. I switched to Extra Space Storage just around the corner. Much cleaner, easier and actually can see and talk to the Management team there. Also, $100 cheaper. Dont waste time with PS of LB Mcleod, go somewhere else!
